I was born in Venice on April 21th, 1963. After a university education in Italy (Milano) I did a doctorate in France (Orsay) by integrating CNRS in 1993.

I am a researcher in particle physics in LAL (Linear Accelerator Laboratory) on the Orsay Campus. I worked on several high energy experiments at CERN (Switzerland) at SLAC (USA) and LNF-Frascati (Italy), leading working groups and having managerial positions in the experiments. I signed the papers of DELPHI, BaBar, SuperB and UA9 experiments(over 700) and about fifty research papers or individual or on small group on detectors, data analysis and phenomenology (founding also the UTFit Collaboration)

I led six doctoral theses and post-doctoral students.

I have often presented the results of my/our work in about thirty conferences and in a little more than fifty seminars. I belong/lead several advisory and/or steering committees of international projects. I created the biannual Worskhop CKM in 2002 and co-creates the TESHEP annual school in 2007.

Since 2003, I’m full professor of Paris-Sud University where I teach and I had several responsibilities Masters (NPAC) and Doctoral School. I also teach in schools or universities overseas.

I am the director of LAL since February 2011.
